Selina Wang is moving to Beijing to report and anchor for Bloomberg TV. She’s currently a journalist covering the global technology industry, venture capital, and cross-border investments, and social media for Bloomberg News in San Francisco. She’s a regular contributor on Bloomberg TV and is a fill-in anchor for Bloomberg Technology, the network’s flagship technology show. Her work includes breaking news and writing investigative and feature stories for Bloomberg.com, Businessweek Magazine, and the Bloomberg Terminal.
Selina has interviewed a multitude of top executives and investors for Bloomberg News and TV, including the SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, president of Alibaba, CEO of SAP, CEO of Symantec, Former Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs, GoPro’s CEO, the CEO of iQiYi, co-founder of Virgin Hyperloop One, Quicken Loans CEO, and Forbes Midas Investors Bill Gurley and Jenny Lee. She’s written cover stories for Businessweek Magazine, and her work has won the Front Page Award from the Newswomen’s Club of New York, and an honorable mention from the Society of Business Editors and Writers.
She’s also anchored the radio show Bloomberg Markets and Bloomberg’s 24/7 live streaming show on Twitter @TicTocNews. Selina often appears on other news outlets — including NPR, CBS News and BBC — to discuss her breaking news stories. She is a regular keynote moderator at panels and events across the globe.
She has spent time for Bloomberg News in New York and Hong Kong, where she reported on Chinese technology giants and Asia investments. Previously, she had stints on the insurance/investment and consumer beats. She also briefly worked with Bloomberg TV, when she produced for shows including Bloomberg Surveillance, What’d You Miss, and Bloomberg West.
Selina graduated from Harvard University with an A.B. in economics and secondary degree in government. At Harvard she was a John Harvard Scholar, for being in the top 5 percent of her class, and was awarded the Detur Book Prize for her high academic standing.
